Rachel and I met sophmore year of college in a class that would bore one to tears. During the hour and a half class, Rachel and I started talking and became fast friends. In fact, it was only a few months later when she became my sorority sister! We bonded over many different things, but our most powerful bond was our love for Jesus Christ. Our conversations, whether they were about boys or school or work, always seemed to come back to our Lord.

 

Rachel took a brave leap of faith in February of 2014 and decided to go a month without makeup. (Read about her journey and blog in the link above!!) I admired her for her bravery and strength for doing something so out of our comfort zone. By the end of the month, it was evident Rachel was comfortable in her own skin and glowing with happiness. (It was a long month with ups and downs and by no means was it easy!)

 

One day we were sitting in bed talking about everything under the sun when this idea started to unravel. Why not empower all women to find their beauty in Christ? We wanted to make an outlet for young girls and women to define beauty beyond what society tells us it is. We wanted to inspire other women just as Rachel  inspired me, her friends, family, teammates, and even strangers!

 

Our hope is that many other young girls and women find peace, happiness, and strength with our Lord and not be consumed by other's opinions of what beauty is. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL.
